Location: Darwin/Regional OfficesStatus: Full-timeAbout the RoleA Permit Officer at the Northern Land Council (NLC) processes applications for permits, manages the NLC Permit System, and acts as a contact point for people needing access to or information about aboriginal Lands in the Northern Territory. They help ensure visitors understand their obligations, communicate with Traditional Owners about who is on their country, and assist with enforcing rules and regulations for entry and activities on these lands. What You Will Bring:As a Permit Officer within the Permits, Agreements and Compliance Team (PACT), you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and timely processing of access permit applications. You’ll be the central link between applicants, permit holders, internal staff, and Permit Delegates, facilitating clear communication and seamless coordination across the permit lifecycle.Your contribution will be vital in maintaining operational efficiency through the Permit Administration System (PAS), where you’ll manage online applications with precision and care.
