The Minerals & Energy Branch is responsible for a substantial portfolio of minerals and energy projects, including management of statutory and other functions in relation to minerals and energy exploration and production.The principal objectives of these Senior Project Officer roles are to represent, assist and advise traditional Aboriginal owners and native title holders in relation to minerals and energy projects. Key tasks include the provision of advice and undertaking consultations and technical assessments related to environmental, social and cultural impacts.Relevant tertiary qualifications or at least five years’ experience in a similar role, with knowledge and understanding of environmental management systems and principles is essential. Previous experience working for Indigenous organisations, government or within the minerals and energy or environmental sectors is desirable.Applicants must possess strong computer, administrative, planning and budgeting skills, and an understanding of the minerals and energy sectors and relevant legislation.
