The Northern land Council is searching for a highly experienced Business Coordinator to join the Learning on Country Program (LoCP) This is your chance to support Aboriginal-led education on Country by providing high-level business coordination across one of Australia’s most respected cultural learning programs.
About the Role
The Business Coordinator plays a vital role in the delivery and oversight of the LoCP. Working closely with the LoC Manager and based in Darwin, this position is responsible for delivering high-level business, procurement and financial management services to ensure the program’s operational effectiveness and compliance. You’ll work across a range of functions—from budget oversight and contractor coordination to reporting, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. This is a desktop-based leadership support role with scope to influence systems improvement, contribute to strategic projects, and help strengthen two-way learning outcomes in remote communities. You’ll liaise with a diverse network of stakeholders including schools, ranger groups, agency partners and internal NLC teams to support the delivery of place-based, culturally grounded education programs across the Top End.

As a detail-oriented business professional with strong coordination and stakeholder skills, you enjoy designing efficient systems, supporting program delivery, and using your financial knowledge to enable real community impact. You are confident working with a wide range of stakeholders—from Traditional Owners, schools, and ranger groups to government agencies and internal teams—and you build trust through clear communication, cultural sensitivity, and consistent delivery. You enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure community-based programs are well-supported, well-resourced, and compliant.
