Are you passionate about good governance and keen to make a meaningful impact? The Northern Land Council (NLC) is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Governance Officer to join our Governance, Compliance and Risk team.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll support the implementation and administration of governance frameworks, ensure compliance with reporting obligations—including the Annual Report, Strategic and Corporate Plans—and maintain important governance registers. You'll play a key part in building internal governance capability by collaborating across service areas, contributing to training initiatives, and ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date and well communicated.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working across teams, managing multiple priorities, and have strong time management, organisational and writing skills. The role also includes supporting project activities, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and supporting our performance monitoring efforts.
