About the NLCThe Northern Land Council (NLC) was established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act in 1976, to assist Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory to acquire and manage their traditional lands, waters and seas. Nearly 50 years on, we continue to serve over 50,000 Aboriginal people of the Top End and remain committed to enhancing Aboriginal peoples social, political and economic participation by supporting their aspirations and amplifying their voices on a range of issues impacting on their lands, seas, culture and communities. About the RoleThe Recruitment Officer will provide talent acquisition advice to hiring managers and support end to end recruitment campaigns.  The role will be responsible for the administration and management of the e-recruit system and will also perform a range of human resource support activities, projects and tasks within the People and Culture Team.ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring an efficient and positive experience for Hiring Managers and candidates including:Partner with Hiring Managers and HR to understand business needs, job requirements and candidates sought, and provide recommendations/advice on recruitment policy, sourcing strategy, screening techniques and candidate evaluation & process.Undertake position description reviews, reference checking, offer management and status communication with candidates and hiring managers. Draft a range of contemporary and appealing job ads that attract highly suitable candidates.Lead and execute sourcing strategies including head hunting, networks, agencies, positing on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, twitter) and advertising on job boards (seek, indeed, natural resource management, ethical jobs, aps jobs).   Manage all e-recruit system administration to deliver efficient and effective solutions.Collaborate with the People and Culture team to build and implement recruitment solutions in line with business strategy that improve quality of service, quality of candidate hire and improved employee experience.Monitor, review and analyse systems to generate reports that identify trends and key recruitment metrics.About youTo thrive in this role you will have:Demonstrated understanding of, and interest in, the lived experiences of Aboriginal people in the NLC region.Demonstrated high level cross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively liaise, engage and coordinate across an organisation and to build productive working relationships with work colleagues, constituents and external stakeholders.Tertiary qualifications Human Resources (or working towards) or equivalent relevant experience in a similar role.Recent practical work experience in a client focused recruitment environment and demonstrated experience providing end-to-end recruitment support services.Experience in candidate sourcing and re design of recruitment processes including attracting and managing passive candidate campaigns.Experience in managing multiple assignments, across a range of disciplines and levels within tight and changing deadlines.Remuneration and Benefits:Full-Time Permanent contractLocation: DarwinSalary: $69,203 - $73,379AllowancesFBT exempt salary packaging benefits pay13.5% superannuation contribution5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% annual leave loadingCultural knowledge and lived experience is central to the work that we do.
