Would you like to work for one of the largest and oldest Indigenous organisations in Australia and be involved in the largest solar energy network in the world?About the NLCWe are responsible for assisting Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory to acquire and manage their lands and seas.  Our vision is to ensure that Aboriginal people benefit socially, culturally and economically from the secure possession of their land, waters and seas. About the RoleThe Senior Project Officer will liaise with Project Managers and stakeholders to drive business change, contribute to project goals, and monitor project activities, resources, issues and risks.ResponsibilitiesPlan and facilitate change impact discussions with Subject Matter Representatives (SMRs)Assess the impacts of business solutions on people, processes, information and systems and use the analysis to help business readiness activities, project plans and deliverables.Develop and deliver key internal and external communications that contribute to successful implementation of new solutions.Liaise with Project Board members and other team members to maintain governance information, issues and risks to minimise the occurrence of potential adverse events.Support the design, development and implementation of testing, training and deployment plans so systems are user friendly and fit for purpose.Contribute to resource planning, analyse work-in-progress, and follow-up scheduled tasks and activities to ensure project timelines are being met. About youTo thrive in this role you will have:Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and respect of Indigenous Australian culture, customs and society and the ability to gain and maintain credibility with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations.High level oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and backgrounds to influence change.Demonstrated experience analysing and documenting business processes in collaboration with stakeholders and SMRs.Experience with project coordination and governance activities and the ability to set priorities, plan and organise workload.Experience and knowledge of system design, development and implementation.Ability to work effectively with ICT staff and service providers.Knowledge and understanding of the overall context in which the Northern Land Council operates.A willingness to travel and work in remote localities, as required. Remuneration and Benefits:Full Time 3 year Fixed Term ContractLocation: DarwinSalary: $90,614 - $101,668 per annumAllowances, e.g. district and airfare allowancesFBT exempt salary packaging benefits pay13% superannuation contribution5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% annual leave loading Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander People are strongly encouraged to apply.COVID-19 VaccinationsPlease note COVID vaccinations are mandatory for all NLC staff.How to Apply:A full Position Description may be obtained by clicking on this vacancy on our website https://jobs.nlc.org.au/ .
