These services are aligned with the NLC's statutory functions under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and Native Title Act. Our legal team work tirelessly to safeguard the rights and interests of Indigenous communities, promoting sustainable development and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the region.Our paralegals support our legal team with a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, from conducting legal research and administrative tasks to document preparation. You'll also play a crucial role in helping Aboriginal individuals, groups, and associations realize their goals for self-determination and holistic development.What you will BringAs a paralegal, you'll operate as a consummate professional. Support our legal team with your exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Your role will allow you to use your highly developed legal research skills, providing the critical foundation for our legal pursuits.
