Working in partnership with local Schools and Ranger groups the Program implements a ‘place-based’ two-way curriculum, combining both Indigenous and Western knowledge systems to guide remote indigenous students on a pathway to academic success and employment pathways. As Business Coordinator, you’ll work behind the scenes to ensure the systems, budgets and contracts that underpin this success run smoothly—enabling communities to thrive.About the Role: The Business Coordinator plays a vital role in the delivery and oversight of the LoCP. Working closely with the LoC Manager and based in Darwin, this position is responsible for delivering high-level business, procurement and financial management services to ensure the program’s operational effectiveness and compliance.  You’ll work across a range of functions—from budget oversight and contractor coordination to reporting, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. This is a desktop-based leadership support role with scope to influence systems improvement, contribute to strategic projects, and help strengthen two-way learning outcomes in remote communities. You’ll liaise with a diverse network of stakeholders including schools, ranger groups, agency partners and internal NLC teams to support the delivery of place-based, culturally grounded education programs across the Top End. What you will Bring: You are adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to supporting Aboriginal-led initiatives that make a difference for young people on Country. You are confident working with a wide range of stakeholders—from Traditional Owners, schools, and ranger groups to government agencies and internal teams—and you build trust through clear communication, cultural sensitivity, and consistent delivery.
