The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join our Anthropology team. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for collating a range of anthropological material, applying preservation techniques under the guidance of the LIR Supervisor, and leading digitisation efforts within the LIR Library. This role extends to administrative support and ensuring seamless service delivery to stakeholders.What you will BringCross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to work as part of a team.Sound problem-solving skills and analytical skills.An eye for detail and strong administrative skills. In addition to this, you will have: -Certificate III in Library Information Services or equivalent, or a related field and/or a minimum of one (1) year experience working in a similar role.Knowledge and experience of office software, as well as familiarity with collection management databases and other specialised computer applications.Experience in materials conservation practices and techniques or cultural heritage conservation or the ability to rapidly acquire.
