Join the Northern Land Council (NLC) as a Sea Country Project Officer, where you'll play a crucial role in achieving program outcomes and facilitating negotiations between Traditional Aboriginal Owners (TOs), Aboriginal groups, and third parties. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Sea Country team, handling everything from event planning, to public education material development. Your efforts will ensure the effective implementation of Sea Country activities, supporting projects related to access, management, and use of Aboriginal Waters.What you will BringAs a Sea Country Project Officer, you will bring a deep understanding of Aboriginal experiences in the NLC region. Your cross-cultural communication skills will enable effective engagement and relationship-building with stakeholders. With a strong background in project management, you will excel in planning, coordination, and resource management. You will possess analytical and writing skills, basic financial management abilities, and proficiency in IT and database systems.
